British R&B Singer Lynden David Hall Dies

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — British R&B singer Lynden David Hall died Tuesday after a two-year fight with cancer. He was 31.

Hall had been suffering with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph tissue. He was considered one of the brightest talents in the British R&B scene.

His debut album, “Medicine 4 My Pain,” was critically and commercially well-received following its release in 1998. That album provided his biggest hit, “Sexy Cinderella,” which reached #17 on the official U.K. Singles Chart, according to Billboard.

That year, he was awarded the Best Newcomer award at the MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards, and received a nomination for best British male solo artist at the 1999 Brit Awards.

Hall’s third studio album, “In Between Jobs,” was released in 2005 on Random Records.

News of his passing was announced to Brit Awards attendees just minutes prior to the start of the ceremony on Wednesday night. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
